We’re proud to present our week eight Class A football power rankings, brought to you by PRIME Roofing

10. Lincoln Southeast (NR, 5-3)

The Knights of Lincoln slide their way into the top ten for the first time this season following a 37-30 win at Papillion-La Vista South. They will round out the regular season when they take on Lincoln Northeast on Friday.

9. Omaha North (10, 5-3)

Following a 52-49 win over then-second-ranked Bellevue West on senior night, the Vikings move into the ninth spot. They’ll finish off their regular season campaign at Bellevue East.

8. Grand Island (5, 6-2)

Once ranked in the top three, the Islanders have lost two straight games against ranked teams — most recently a 21-7 loss to Lincoln Southwest — to drop to the eighth spot. They’ll face Lincoln East this coming week.

7. Lincoln Southwest (9, 7-1)

After peeking into the top ten in week six, the Silver Hawks further solidified their rank with a 21-7 win over then-fifth-ranked Grand Island. Their regular season will conclude on Friday when they take on Lincoln High.

6. Lincoln High (7, 6-2)

After a rocky kickoff to the 2018 season, the Links extended their win streak to six games with a 66-31 victory over Kearney. They’ll head to Seacrest Field and finish their season with a showdown against Lincoln Southwest.

5. Millard West (3, 6-2)

Following a big overtime win over Grand Island in week seven, the Wildcats were set back when they fell to Lincoln East in week eight, 21-13. They’ll look to bounce back in week nine against Lincoln North Star.

4. Millard South (6, 7-1)

Coach Andy Means and his Patriots crack the top five after traveling to Burke Stadium and taking down Omaha Creighton Prep by a 38-30 score. They’ll host Omaha Westside on Thursday in a district-champion-deciding top five showdown.

3. Bellevue West (2, 7-1)

The Thunderbirds suffered their first loss of the year when they fell to Omaha North by a slim 52-49 margin. They’ll look to recover against Omaha Central in week nine.

2. Omaha Westside (4, 8-0)

In the midst of a week full of upsets, the Warriors cruised to a 38-0 victory at home over Columbus. They will travel to Lyle Buell Stadium where they will take on Millard South on Thursday, looking to finish off a perfect regular season.

1. Omaha Burke (1, 8-0)

The Bulldogs remain in the top spot after a comfortable 38-9 victory over Millard North. They will finish the regular season against Papillion-La Vista on Friday.
