On Friday night, seventh-seed Grand Island defeated third-seed Bellevue West 37-30 in Class A semifinal play. The Thunderbirds end their season 10-2; the Islanders, also 10-2, will face first-seed Omaha Burke in the state championship on Monday, November 19.
