Recap: Jam-Packed First Day of River Cities Tip Off Action

The 2018 OSA River Cities Summer Tip Off, a massive AAU boys basketball tournament spanning from 3rd grade to 17U, kicked off on Friday evening. Our team was at the Iowa West Field House to catch the best of the action at the high school level.

NBDA Bison 17U 78 OSA 17U Regional Zimmer 64

Winston Cook (Wahoo) had 21 points and Grant Frickenstein (Bergan) scored 14 for the Bison. Cam Watson (Millard West) added 18, Isaac Dannehl (Ralston) 17, and Louis Hacker (Omaha Creighton Prep) 14 for OSA.

OSA 17U National Felici 55 Nebraska Select 17U 43

OSA’s Josiah Allick (Lincoln North Star) led all scorers with 17. Evan Kingston (Platteview) also added 14 for the Crusaders. Brady Danielson (York) led Select with 10 points.

OSA 16U Adidas 98 All Iowa Attack 10th Black 26

Zach LaFave (Elkhorn South) led all scorers with 19 points. Maxwell Polk (Omaha Central) had 14 points and four assists, and Jadin Booth (Omaha Westside) added 13. Additionally, PJ Ngambi (Omaha Westside), Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (Omaha Central), and David Moreano (Omaha Burke) all scored in double digits.

OSA 17U Adidas 86 Powerhouse Red 17U 50

Charlie Easley (Lincoln Pius X) and Nico Felici (Bellevue West) both led the way for the Crusaders with 13 points each. Akol Arop (Omaha Creighton Prep) added 11; his alley-oop dunk says the rest (check our Twitter to see it).

Powerhouse Elite 17U 60 Nebraska Select 17U 54

Toward the end of the night, everyone left in the Iowa West Field House huddled around court 5 to see this one come down to the wire. Lök Wur (Papillion-La Vista South), with a 23 point and five rebound performance, led Powerhouse late on both ends to seal the deal. North Bend’s John Emanuel had 14 for Select.
