Week 6: 2018 Class A football power rankings
We’re proud to present our week six Class A football power rankings, brought to you by PRIME Roofing:
10. Elkhorn South (9, 4-2)
The Storm remain inside our top ten despite suffering their second loss in Class A, a 28-21 deficit against sixth-ranked Millard South.
9. Lincoln Southwest (NR, 5-1)
Southwest picked up their fourth straight win on Thursday night. They beat Omaha Benson by a 56-7 score.
8. Omaha Creighton Prep (10, 4-2)
After dropping their second game of the season in week five, Tim Johnk’s Junior Jays bounced back on Friday night with a 43-3 home win over Columbus.
7. Lincoln High (7, 4-2)
The Links picked up their fourth straight win, a 55-6 victory over North Platte, as they continue to build momentum after a tough start to the season.
6. Millard South (6, 5-1)
Quarterback TJ Urban and the Patriots picked up their first win over a ranked opponent in a 28-21 thriller versus Elkhorn South on Friday night.
5. Millard West (5, 5-1)
The Wildcats traveled to Kearney to take on the then-eighth-ranked Bearcats. They returned to Omaha with an impressive 42-20 win under their belts.
4. Omaha Westside (4, 6-0)
Despite a sluggish start on Friday, the Warriors cashed in a 40-0 win against Omaha Northwest to remain undefeated.
3. Grand Island (3, 6-0)
Jeff Tomlin and Co. beat Omaha Bryan 77-7 to stay perfect on the season.
2. Bellevue West (2, 6-0)
The undefeated Thunderbirds defeated Norfolk by a 62-27 margin, solidifying their spot at number two.
1. Omaha Burke (1, 6-0)
Paul Limongi’s Bulldogs remain atop our rankings for the fourth straight week after pulling out a 43-26 victory over Gretna.
